Terms of service
Paddo Tech PTY LTD runs Trivista from Australia. In these terms, "we" means Paddo Tech PTY LTD. The terms cover the Trivista website and the Trivista apps for iOS and Android. When you use Trivista, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Trivista.
The service
Trivista is a trivia game. You can play quizzes on your own, host and join live games, send challenges, and make quizzes with AI. The apps also have friends, notifications and Premium. We can change or remove features at any time.
Accounts
- On the website, you can play as a guest. Sign in to keep your games on any device.
- Keep your email account safe. Anyone who can read your email can sign in as you.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us at once if someone uses your account without your permission.
Names and topics you type
- Other players can see your display name. Do not use a name that is offensive or that pretends to be someone else.
- Do not type topics that are illegal, hateful or sexual, or that contain personal details about other people.
- You give us permission to store and show what you type, so the game can work.
- We can remove names, topics or quizzes that break these terms.
Fair play
Do not:
- break the law with Trivista
- harass or harm other players
- cheat, use bots or scripts, or copy questions in bulk
- try to get around the free limits or reach parts of the service that are not yours
- overload or interfere with the service
- report questions falsely or to abuse the system
AI quizzes
AI models write the questions for topic quizzes and draw the question art. AI can get facts wrong and can write something unexpected. The questions are for fun. Do not rely on them as facts. If an answer looks wrong, report it.
Questions from the Open Trivia Database
Category questions come from the Open Trivia Database. They are shared under CC BY-SA 4.0. That licence, not these terms, sets how you can reuse those questions.
Reports
You can report a question with a wrong answer. When enough players report a question, we hide it until we check it. We can fix, keep or remove any question.
Limits, purchases and ads
- Free play has daily limits. The website shows them where they apply.
- In the apps, Apple or Google handles subscriptions, payments and refunds. Subscriptions renew until you cancel them in your store account.
- Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your store account first.
- The free apps show ads.
Our content
We own the Trivista name, design, art and software. You may not copy, change or share them without our permission, except where a licence above allows it.
No guarantee
We provide Trivista "as is". We do not promise that it is always available, free of errors, or correct in every answer. We can lose data, so do not rely on Trivista to store anything important.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss from your use of Trivista. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded.
You agree to cover our costs from claims caused by your breach of these terms.
Ending your use
You can stop at any time and delete your account on the Delete account page or in the app settings. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Changes
When these terms change, we post the new version here and change the date at the top. If you keep using Trivista, you accept the new terms.
Law
The laws of Queensland, Australia govern these terms. The courts of Queensland have jurisdiction over any dispute.
